Organic and improvised forms softly fuse with earth elements, vapors and ethereal light in Chris Donovan’s nine-piece “Right Action II.” Using mixed media and traditional painting, Donovan travels the owrld so that he can infuse his art with the essence of various cultures, including artifacts from his travels in to his artwork. His otherworldly “Right Action II” works perfectly together, separately, or in improvised groupings.
About Chris Donovan
Artist Chris Donovan, who was born in England, creates lush abstracts filled with recognizable and improvised forms amid rich colors, glistening light and unusual textures. Creating pieces in his unique style, Donovan layers his works with handmade materials, painted paper, textile design motifs, traditional painting and artifacts from his travels. Originally providing his graphic artwork to several interior design firms in London, Donovan now travels the globe, often staying in a country for several months so he can immerse his art with the essence of its culture.
